Tanya has lived in Nova Scotia her entire life and became a licenced optician in 2003 and a licenced contact lens fitter in 2007.\u00a0 She is very active in a variety of provincial and national roles in the optical industry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContactInfoCxSpMiddle\">Tanya has worked for NACOR, the National Association of Canadian Optical Regulators, as a survey team member, for the accreditation process of the optical educational programs.\u00a0 She is an examiner and has moderated the national exams.\u00a0 She represents Nova Scotia at both the National Exam Committee and NACOR meetings.\u00a0 Tanya is also a director for the Nova Scotia College of Dispensing Opticians and on their behalf, chairs the registration committee and participates in a program advisory committee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContactInfoCxSpMiddle\">Tanya brings additional valuable skills to this role following the completion of a diploma in Human Resources Development from McMaster University.\u00a0 This complements her years of experience working with and leading colleagues.\u00a0 New Brunswick is a bilingual province so she is also working hard to become fluent in French.\u00a0 Currently, she is able to read French and is working on improving her speaking and writing skills.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContactInfoCxSpMiddle\">Tanya first met Robert Grimard, president of Grimard Optique, over 5 years ago at a National Exam Committee meeting.\u00a0 They have worked on several national projects together since. \u00a0Robert Grimard is also currently the president of the Opticians Council of Canada.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContactInfoCxSpMiddle\"><em>\u00a0\u201cI have known Robert Grimard for years, he is well respected by his national colleagues, partners and employees.\u00a0 When he approached me with this employment opportunity, I accepted because it seems like a perfect fit and I am excited to be a part of it.\u00a0 Grimard Optique expanding eastward is good for Atlantic Canada because it gives independent operators strength and allows the industry to remain diverse and competitive.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 Tanya Wohlsclagel<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContactInfoCxSpLast\">To reach Tanya regarding expansion into Atlantic Canada, please email\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:partner.atlantic@goeyewear.ca\">partner.atlantic@goeyewear.ca<\/a><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1553777598897{padding-top: 50px !important;padding-bottom: 50px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text] Thinking About Retiring or Selling?
